About Jdrums

Hi, I am Jonny Lyons, the founder and sole owner of Jdrums. I am a student primary teacher studying at the University of Gloucestershire. I have also grown up playing drums and have had the privilege and the opportunity to play in many bands, on many stages and learn from many different amazing musicians. Being an aspiring primary teacher has helped me journey to where Jdrums is today. I have always been passionate about seeing others succeed and enjoy learning new things, and I want to help others access and learn new skills and new experiences. Jdrums is a way I can do this through music. My aim is to help people learn something completely new, advance their drumming skills, and provide people with an experience of drumming that will leave them fascinated, ambitious and keen to learn more.  

With my main job being working with and in primary schools and studying education at university, I have all the necessary safeguarding training and DBS checks completed and regularly updated. So, schools and individuals can be confident that their children are being looked after in the correct manner. (Please ask to view certificates when enquiring with Jdrums)

We welcome students of all ages, from children through to adults. Our programs are tailored to each age group to ensure the best learning experience.

Do I need my own drums to start lessons?

Jdrums provides a mobile service coming to you to teach you drums. Therefore a drum kit is required. If you are a school looking to hire Jdrums, equipment will be included. 

How do I book a lesson?
